Paul Buchtmann has been involved in the ACT! community since the product was first launched in Australia in 1988. At that time he met one of the co-founders at CeBIT in Sydney.
Since that time he has been involved with ACT! as a Consultant, Trainer and Specialist Technical resource for the Asia Pacific region while working for Saleslogix and later Sage Software.
In the early days Paul used ACT! as National Advertising Manager for a national magazine and later as a Consultant with a business he established known as ACT! Plus.
After the purchase of ACT! by Symantec in 1992 The company became Automate!. In 2000 he joined Saleslogix when ACT! was purchased back from Symantec by the original founders.
From those early days Paul has been involved with over 7000 ACT! deployments in companies both large and small. Companies including Lend Lease, Telstra, Commonwealth Bank, Macquarie Bank, AMP, St George bank as well as many hundreds of businesses with less than 20 employees.
He loves seeing the reaction from clients when they begin to realise the power of having a well developed client management system.
